LAURA EAGER 



Visual Artist (UK) 
Based in Amsterdam 

Laura Eager is a visual artist and performer from the UK and currently based in Amsterdam, where she graduated from the audio visual department of the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in 2023. Her practices uses a docu-fiction method of filming and performing, to explore the borders of public and private space, and the shifting dynamics of power, control and desire within daily encounters. Her work often uses the body and camera as a tool to mediate interactions, and provoke questions on spectator performer relationship, the politics of the gaze and acts of observation. 

Her work has been presented both in the Netherlands and internationally such as at MOMO Festival (Rotterdam), BUDA (Kortrijk, Belgium), and Space O (Düsseldorf, Germany). In addition Laura takes an active role in interdisciplinary collaborations, becoming a member of Dance Space Destiny (2025), and being the founder of Quite BAT performance collective (2021 - 2024). Additionally since 2022 she has worked for Cinedans, a festival dedicated to the dance film genre, and from 2022 - 2025 she served as executive producer for Moving Media Lab, an interdisciplinary platform exploring movement, design and technology.
