Artistic Practise
My artistic practice uses performative scenarios, films and other visual media, to research the intersection between real life and ‘stage’, fusing public spaces with white cubes, or black boxes. My fascinations lie in the relationship between the spectator, director and performer, and everyday reality and art.
The work evolves through performative encounters and events that I place myself and others in, to explore the borders of what is public and private, reality and fiction, and uncover the ‘everyday’ scenario to be perceived differently. I seek to encourage critical reflection on wider social constructs, scripts and perceptions of viewers and their postion in social reality.
